Terms and Conditions of enrolling in Manchester United Soccer Schools Australia (referred to below as “MUSS”)
MANCHESTER UNITED SOCCER SCHOOLS IN AUSTRALIA TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2008
Manchester United Soccer Schools in Australia is operated by Fun Football Schools.
Manchester United Soccer Schools (referred to in these terms and conditions as MUSS) is a
trading name of Manchester United Merchandising Limited (MUML) and is permitted to use the
Manchester United trademarks. MUML and Fun Football Schools are independently owned and
operated. MUSS will be providing official coaches selected and trained by MUSS, and will be
providing assistance to Fun Football Schools in the management and direction of the
Soccer Schools.
- Closing date for applications is: Melbourne 24th March 2008. Sydney 27th June 2008 and
Brisbane 19th September 2008.
- Vacancies for all courses are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first-come,
first-served basis.
- A place in the MUSS program is not guaranteed until full payment is received.
- Payment in full MUST be submitted with application form.
- Successful applicants will be notified by post or online. Confirmation will be issued to
participants. No copy will be reissued for the loss of the original receipt.
- Fees paid are not refundable, except in the event of a course being full or cancelled. There is
no refund policy unless a medical certificate is provided, you will then be credited with a place
on another MUSS or Fun Football Schools program of equal value. Please note that a booking
can be transferred to another person without charge.
- Parents understand that participants attending the MUSS program, and using the facilities,
do so at their own risk. MUSS and Fun Football Schools, their owners, employees and coaches,
shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from any personal injury, death or property
loss sustained by participant and family members on the premises.
- MUSS and Fun Football Schools do not accept any liability for property damage or loss
sustained by any participant unless caused by the proven negligence of MUSS or Fun Football
Schools, their directors or employees.
- The cost of any damage to MUSS property or facilities of the venue will be passed on to the
participants.
- All courses, activities, venue and arrangements are subject to change according to weather,
programming and satisfactory level of numbers and other factors beyond the control of Fun
Football Schools. Fun Football Schools reserve the right to cancel or change any courses,
should this be necessary for any reason. Parents and/or participants will be notified of any
changes beforehand.
- We treat as a priority the safety and wellbeing of all children attending our courses.
We therefore reserve the right to remove from our courses without refund, any child who is
found bullying, misbehaving or who is generally disruptive.
- Parents agree to grant MUSS the worldwide right in perpetuity, without approvalor
compensation, to use their child’s name, photographic or video images or likeness for MUSS’
purpose.
- For the avoidance of doubt, Manchester United players do not attend MUSS programs.
- In case of any dispute, the decision of Fun Football Schools shall be final.
- All participants must be physically fit and able to participate in the sporting activities and
accordingly you accept all risks resulting from participation in the course. We may require
additional information depending on the medical information supplied to us by you before we
can accept your booking. In the event that the participant needs medical attention during the
course then you agree to us arranging for any appropriate and necessary treatment.
- We do not allow any video or other filming or recording equipment on courses and
accordingly neither you nor the participant may record or attempt to record ( whether
permanently or transiently) or transmit moving images or voices of anyone at the course.
You may take still photographs at times indicated by us within the program schedule, provided
that they are only used for private purposes.
- Neither you nor the participant shall disclose or use any aspect of our course for commercial
purposes.
- If you are not the participants parent or guardian, you confirm that you made such parent or
guardian fully aware of this booking and of these terms and conditions (and that they have
agreed to them).
- These terms and conditions and your booking shall be governed by and interpreted in
accordance with law and any shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian
courts.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Football kit (shirts, shorts, socks) - This will be given to the participant on the first day and will be worn for the duration of the program. Appropriate footwear is required (boots and trainers)
WEATHER:
Manchester United Soccer Schools will run rain or shine.
Please ensure your child/ren have waterproof clothing, sunscreen applied and have a sun hat and adequate drinks for rehydration.
FOOD & DRINK:
Please supply packed lunch including drink bottle.
FIRST AID:
All Manchester United Soccer School coaches are first aid qualified.
ILLNESS/INJURY:
Please inform Manchester United Soccer Schools in writing of any pre –existing illness, allergies or injury of any participants prior to the program commencing.
DROP OFF & PICK UP:
Each participant should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of each session. However please arrive at least 30 minutes prior on day one to be fitted with your MUSS training kit.
PARENTS NOTES:
Any special arrangements including early departure from the program must be in writing. Please direct any parental notes to the MANCHESTER UNITED SOCCER SCHOOLS HEAD COACH and include phone number on any correspondence.
